Located on the coasts of the Mediterranean, grow extremely decorative pine cones in endless pine forests. Inside the cones are growing the noble pine kernels, well protected before being harvested gently by hand. This tedious circumstance also explains why the cores are relatively costly. After the harvest, which is carried out manually by climbers, that noble seeds from the cones are extracted to be subsequently freed from the solid and thick shell. The price of the effort are the creamy white pine kernels that remain after peeling. This elaborate work makes pine kernels to the most expensive, but also the tastiest nuts in the world.
